I Am The First And The Last

Isaiah 44:6,7 “This is what the Lord says – Israel’s King and Redeemer; the Lord of heaven’s armies: I am the First and the Last: there is no other God. Who is like Me? Let him step forward and prove to you his power. Let him do as I have done since ancient times when I established a people and explained its future.”

God introduces Himself as Israel’s King and Redeemer to show what He has done to that tiny nation. He chose it as His own and said what would happen to it. And today, it stands as a testament to how true God’s Word is, and how big He is. There is nothing and no one that came before Him, nothing after Him, and no one that can compare to Him! When He speaks all creation bows down. What He declares is exactly what happens. The whole universe runs by His power, nothing is out of place! Scientists have said, that if even one planet goes out of orbit by 1 degree, there will be chaos. And yet, everything continues to run smoothly. What holds a planet in place? It’s just floating on air! Have you ever wondered about that?
The moon, sun and stars and every single planet stays exactly where they’re supposed to!
As for Israel, a nation that has been threatened over and over again, can never cease to exist, once a barren desert that has bloomed and produces the most luscious fruits and vegetables, a people that astound the world by their wealth and intelligence, whose borders remain intact in spite of their enemies… He is your God and Abba when you received Jesus in your heart. And whatever promises He said to you, you can be sure that He will keep His word.
