Matthew 14:28-29 “Then Peter called out to Him, ‘Lord, if it’s really You, tell me to come to You, walking on the water.’ ‘Yes, come,’ Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.”
God doesn’t mind it when we ask “if it’s really You…”. Many times when we are seeking God for direction or guidance and we get an answer that we think is from God, we ask for confirmation. He doesn’t get intimidated by your questions or requests… And as long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he was able to do what is naturally impossible for man: walking on water!
As we are starting the new year, what are the things you want to accomplish this year? What are the dreams you have in your heart that you believe came from God? Let God be involved in its fulfillment. Trust Him for divine enabling, and for guidance in every step… And if you fall and make mistakes along the way, He’ll be there to help you back up. Let this be a year of doing something you’ve never done, of dreams fulfilled by God’s divine power at work in you.
“Father, let the dreams You have placed in my heart be birthed this year. Let this be a year of being more sensitive to Your leadings. Let this be a year that I live my life so full of You in my mind and heart. Be glorified in my life as I learn to trust You more and more each day. In Jesus’ Name, amen!”
