Proverbs 27:6 “Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.”
In this day when “friends” are a dime a dozen, we often wonder who our real friends are. Real friendships take time to build and only get tested as you face challenges. A sincere friend will not only tell you what’s nice to hear, sometimes they will tell you things that are painful to listen to. Words that can hurt your ego but ultimately, they have your interest at heart. A fake friend will only tell you what sounds nice, words that sugar coat but keep you blinded or will keep you stuck in a rotten place.
Divine friendships are those that build you up and make you a better person. They can stretch you and pull you, but real friends can always be counted on. They push you toward your destiny. Everyone needs that kind of friend in one’s life. If you don’t have one yet, ask God to send someone your way. And if you already do, don’t take them for granted. They’re a gift from God. Thank God for them and celebrate life with them!
