2 Corinthians 4:17,18 “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”
A child of God does not view the troubles he faces the way the rest of the world does. He knows there is nothing random or coincidental about any of them. Every single trouble you face is designed to bring out something good in you: the character of God being formed in you, His glory to be reflected through you. So whenever you are facing trouble, ask Him what is it that He wants you to see or what He is forming in you… It could be to change an ungodly character trait, or to develop compassion regarding someone else’s situation. It could be to discipline you and to prepare you for your destiny. The more aware you are of what God is doing, the easier it will be to cooperate with the grace that is present for you.
“Daddy-God, help me to be aware of the work You are doing in my life so that I will yield to the grace present for me each day. Thank You that there is nothing random in my life because You are in control of the events I face. Thank You most of all that You are always there for me because You love me. Amen.”
