Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established.”
Everyday we make plans – about our work, about people we live or work with, about our health, about our leisure activities, etc. Whatever they may be involving, the Word says to commit them to God. That means once you make the plan, bring it before God and allow Him to do what He wants with it – either to change it or to bring the desired end result.
What does it say will happen? “Your thoughts will be established.” That means that God will guide you through the thoughts He puts in your mind. If it’s in a meeting, He could guide the conversation, if it’s planning a vacation, He could bring to you the best deals or it could be activities that will make your family get closer. If it’s studying for school, He could make your mind more receptive to what is taken up so it gets easy. If it’s activities regarding your health, He could bring you to the right people who can bring you exactly what you need. Whatever it is, get Him involved. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Do it while you’re still making your plans and at the beginning of each day. You will be surprised at just how many blessings come your way!
“Abba, I commit my plans to You.(be specific). I commit this day to You. Guide me in the things I need to do. Show me what is best. I declare this day is blessed because You are with me in it. And even now, I already thank You for every good thing that comes my way. In Jesus’ Name, amen!”
