God Is My Shelter and My Refuge

It is always good to know that whenever you go through storms of life there is a God who will fight for you, take care of you, provide for you and most of all protect you from all harms.

I love how He demonstrate His love for us who believes in Psalm 91:

“If you make the LORD your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:9-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How fascinating it is to know that whenever we take refuge in Him, take His shadow as our coverings and make Him our shelter then nothing, no thing and no one can come against us!

We may look at the storms like an end to everything but we must understand that with God there’s no end. He is the beginning and the end and in every ending there’s always a beginning. If you are down, there’s no other way down there but to go up. No matter how deep it may seem. No matter how deeply buried you are in a situation, He holds you at the palm of His hands. He may let you go through something at times because He sometimes let the enemy to interfere just like in the book of Job but when Jesus died at the cross. Everything is already a done deal.

Again, no one, no thing and nothing can come against you because the enemy is a defeated foe! What we need to know these days is how do we let the works and schemes of the enemy work around us? Are we sedentary enough to let him go after us or do we take refuge in Him, trusting Him that it is already a done deal? No!! Never! You are precious to His eyes and you are loved by Him.

Many times in the bible would say to take courage and rejoice in all trials for greater reward is at hand. Remember, the depth of the testing would always determine the height of your blessings and what it is to come. All you have to do is to rejoice. Be glad that you are under testing and that God has equipt you with all the battle gears He has made you and prepared for you. Take the joy of the Lord to be your strength and take His word for it. His word never fails. His love for you never fails! Believe! Believe! Believe that He has done it and after the testing you will come out victorious!. You are made victor and not a victim. You may feel like a victim for now but remember we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but by the schemes of the enemy. Take the word of God be your double-edged sword. Crash the enemy and made him your footstool again. It’s okay to be beaten down once in awhile but always get up and surrender everything to the Lord. He is mighty to save and He is faithful and committed to bring you to a place He has prepared.

All is well. Trust. Believe. Never back down. Never look back. Just keep pressing on. Wear the garments of praise. Worship the Lord with all of your strength and leave the battle to Him. Take refuge and be under His shadow. The Lord is for you and never against you. Walk where He will lead you. Look at the situation through the heaven’s eye. Move on. Stay grounded with the word. Get up. Move forward and upward! For He will bring you from glory to glory.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the joy the keeps me and serves as my strength. I know everything is under control. I lift up everything to you. I gave everything to you. Take control of my destiny. Be the captain of my ship. I may have said bad things today but I cancel them and render them powerless. Let the peace of God surrounds me and take over my mind. The peace that surpasses all understanding. I speak life to every dead situation in my life and in every area of my life. I pray for Holy Spirit to guide me and warn me for things unseen and unknown. You hold me at the palm of your hands. This world may say things about me but only in Your word I know I can believe and will believe on. Abba, you are my shepherd and I have everything that I need. In the mighty name of Yeshua I pray. Amen.
