Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete [it] until the day of Jesus Christ.”
When God starts a work, He doesn’t stop midway. He goes all the way to the end until it is completed. That’s why the apostle Paul said he was convinced that the work God started in you, will go all the way to completion until the day that Jesus returns.
Questions and doubts may have entered your mind about your self; you look at yourself and wonder”how can my life reflect God with the way I am now?” You see your flaws and weaknesses and they look impossible to change. You have no idea even where to begin because it looks like a tangled mess of junk in your heart and mind. You may feel powerless to do anything about it. Be encouraged! God said “I am taking care of it! That is My problem.” Isn’t it a relief to know that you don’t have to figure it out? All He asks is for you to surrender it to Him and trust that He will work it all out. He won’t give up on you. He will finish the work He began.
“Abba, how encouraging it is to know that I don’t have to have it all figured out; to know that You accept me as I am but love me enough not to leave me in this condition. I surrender my life to You. I surrender to You all my flaws and weaknesses and hang ups, and all the things I am struggling with. Change me. Let every area of my life reflect Whose I am. I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, my Savior, my Lord, my Hope, amen!”
