The God Who Fulfills

Galatians 4:21-23 “Tell me you who want to live under the Law, do you know what the law actually says? The scriptures say that Abraham had 2 sons, one from his slave-wife and one from his freeborn wife. The son of the slave-wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise. But the son of the free-born wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of His own promise.”

What do these scriptures tell us about God and His promises to us?

He doesn’t want us to try to do anything to make them happen. He wants to be the One to fulfill them.

But first, it’s important to know what did He promise you? It is important to hear His voice to develop your relationship with Him. It is important to know His voice so you can hear His instructions because He will fulfill them according to His plan. Then you just rest. You can only rest when you are confident that God will do exactly as He promised.

“Abba, as I am learning to recognize Your voice, teach me Your ways. Reveal Your promises to me. Help me to trust You so that I don’t go ahead of You. By Your grace, I can be confident and know that in this journey of life, You are in control of the situations I face because You are my Abba and You love me. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.”
