Christ’s Blood On The Cross

Colossians 1:19,20 “For God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the Cross.”

The fullness of God – His wisdom, power, peace, joy, love, etc – was all found in Christ Jesus, and He manifested the God-kind of life, the quality of life and heart of God, to show us what we have in store as children of God. He lived as a man Who depended fully on God while He was on earth, fully obedient because He was aware that He needed to live that way so that He could be sacrificed as a sin offering to reconcile us back to the Father. The Blood that poured out from Him was perfect to restore peace between God and man. And so His blood continually speaks on our behalf to remind the Father that sin was paid for; to remind us that we no longer have to live under the curse of sin’s effects; as a declaration to all spirit beings that He is King over all; and to all creation that dominion has been restored to all those who are in Christ. That is how powerful the Blood of Christ is!

“I am continually in awe of all that You have accomplished for me on the Cross, how much You suffered so that peace can be restored into my life. Help me to always remember that I cannot live this life by my own strength or will-power but only by depending on You. I commit my life into Your hands because You know what is best. And I plead the Blood You shed over me, my family, my work. I want only You to be glorified over every area of my life. In Your Name I pray, amen!”
