…yet He did not sin

Hebrews 4:15 “This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin.”

It’s important to know that when someone is mediating for you, that they understand your position and the situation you are facing, if they will mediate properly. In this case, it’s our High Priest mediating for us before the Father. So when you fall into sin, the judgment should be “guilty!” But because we have a High Priest Who understands our struggles, He pleads on our behalf. “He says, ‘Abba, remember that they are but dust. Remember that I suffered and poured out My Blood for their atonement so that all their debts towards Your Holiness is satisfied. They are washed and clean and stand before You holy and blameless.’ He is our High Priest and knows what it’s like to feel condemned and rejected. But He stayed pure so that His Blood could be accepted as a holy sacrifice, otherwise it wouldn’t have been accepted. He is our Perfect Mediator!

“Jesus, what an assurance it is to know that You understand my struggles. You even struggled to the point of Your blood vessels bursting with the tension! I don’t understand how You can love me so much even after I’ve failed You so many times. I can only be eternally grateful that You’ve never given up on me, and You never will – because You are faithful and true. Continually change me and mold me to reflect You, to glorify You, in every area of my life, I pray. Amen!”
