Genesis 2:7 “Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”
When God was creating the world and everything in it, He spoke things into existence. But when He created man, He took the time to fashion him with His hands into the form He desired. Then He blew into His nostrils the “breath of life”, He blew into Adam the force of life that differentiated him from the rest of creation. Man had a spirit and a soul. He had a will, emotions, and could think. He was created to have dominion in this world, to be an extension of God in this world. When we act out of who we were created to be, when we reflect God to the world, when we display His character and heart in our lives, then we move with a sense of purpose knowing that life cannot be lived without staying connected to the Force of Life.
“Abba, You created me to be born into this world with a purpose. Reveal Your plans to me that I may live purposefully. Give me understanding of Your will that my heart may always be wanting to obey You. Guide me in the steps I take so that wherever I go, whatever I do, what words I speak, I reflect You in this world. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.”
