No One Can Separate You From The Love Of God

Romans 8:35-37 ” Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, ‘For Your sake we are being slaughtered like sheep.’) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, Who loved us.”

When we are going through a difficult time, going through trouble or getting persecuted because you live differently, you don’t think like your peers, you stand out from the rest, sometimes you ask yourself “what am I doing wrong God?” Sometimes the attacks against you are precisely because you are doing right! Those attacks are there because they want you to give up on God, to discourage you and weigh you down.

To be “slaughtered like sheep” is putting yourself in the hands of God, trusting Him to see you through, and to speak boldly what you believe, like Daniel when he said, “Our God is able to deliver us, but even if He doesn’t we still won’t bow to your god,” when they were threatened with death.

It isn’t always easy to make a stand especially when you know you’ll be made fun of, or even threatened. But God’s Word says that whatever attacks come against you, you know that not just victory is yours, it says you have overwhelming victory! It means your enemies are vanquished – no longer there! And you have the spoils of war! When God is the One Who avenges for you and vindicates you, you can be sure the trouble will be worth it all!

“I may not always understand what is going on. I may sometimes feel discouraged. But Abba, You are always with me, encouraging me, empowering me by Your grace. Thank You that because of Jesus, I am a victor, I am an overcomer, I am more than a conqueror! I declare this through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, amen.”
