Knowing God’s Will For You

Romans 12:2 “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Just because we live in this world, doesn’t mean we have to behave and think like the world does. When an ambassador lives in a certain country, his lifestyle and culture is affected by the country he came from not the country he is assigned to. That’s why the Bible calls us “ambassadors of Christ”. We represent His kingdom in the way we live and think and behave. That’s why the verse says by changing the way you THINK, you get transformed into a new person. Our thoughts affects the way we behave and talk. They affect every area of our lives – our relationships, our health, our finances, our work, the way we have fun, the way we relate and communicate, our attitudes. If we want our thoughts to align with God’s, we have to read His Word, fellowship with those who love His Word, and be mindful of what we listen to and watch. As your thinking changes and begins to align with God’s, then you will not only know God’s will for you, you will also begin to embrace and live out His plans for your life; finding out His will is good. His will satisfies. And His will is perfect for you!

“Abba, I am so glad that Your will is not something I have to struggle with. Because You transform me from the inside, You change my desires, You change my thinking, all I have to do is follow Your flow. Let Your love fill me. Let Your power at work in me, continue to change me so I can reflect Jesus more and more. Amen!”
