Psalm 145:18 “The Lord is close to all who call upon Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth.”
When you’re facing a situation and you are desperate for God to come through for you, but you’re scared wondering if He will respond to your cry, what will you do? Sometimes it’s your self condemnation that keeps you from calling on Him because you feel you don’t deserve His mercy… and maybe you are right- you don’t deserve it. But there is no one who deserves His mercy! If not for Jesus Christ Who made it available for us, Who suffered on the Cross the wrath of the Father to pay the full price of the requirement of justice, if not for Him we would have no hope! Acknowledge and accept what Jesus did for YOU and receive the mercy He made available for you so that now, you can call on Him when you need Him and He will listen to you. Call on Him with a sincere heart, ask for His help, and trust that He knows how best to help you.
“Abba, I thank You that Jesus suffered in my behalf so that I can call Him “my Savor”. And because of what He did for me, I can come before You and ask for Your help. Change me, first of all. Show me what it means to have a new life in Christ. Teach me Your ways. Thank You for the gift of hope because I know You will not leave me the way I am, and You are working out my situation for my good. Show me the way I should go. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.”
