Psalm 139:15 “You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.”
When God was creating you, He didn’t just speak and zap you into being. He was forming you, like an artist creating with clay. He fashioned you. He put thought into what your features would be like, what abilities would be planted into you, what personality you would have – all with the idea of what He would want you to accomplish, what purpose you have to fulfill, what destiny to live out. When you were in your mother’s womb, He was with you, watching you, caring for you every second, crafting you molecule by molecule.
He thought about what environment you would need to grow up in, what obstacles you would need to overcome, what strengths and weaknesses would be part of you, what skills, abilities and giftings you’d have. So when you look at yourself, see yourself the way God sees you; see yourself from His perspective. He fashioned you with a purpose. You are alive today because you have something to contribute to this generation, some people to touch and influence. But you can only fulfill your destiny as a new creation IN Christ Jesus. You can only find Your peace as a child of the One True God. You can only make sense of all the puzzle pieces of your life when you discover your identity as being hidden with Christ in God. He created you to be in Him, created in His love – the only Love that will complete you!
The question you have to ask of Him is: Lord, what would You have me do that will bring joy to You (and to me)?
“You created me for You, to give You praise and glory. I ask that You reveal to me my purpose, the reason for my being. Show me the steps I need to take as You open the doors You want me to walk through. And let my life glorify You. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
