Freely Given To Us And For Us

1 Corinthians 2:10-12 “But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.”

Because God has given His Spirit to live IN us, knowing God’s thoughts and hearing His voice should be the most natural thing for us believers to do. Though we have to be able to discern the difference between our thoughts and His, His voice and ours, it’s a matter of training and practicing that we learn to become familiar with the differences. Just as a loving father wants to have good communication between himself and his children, our Heavenly Father wants to have the same. He wants us to become familiar with His voice, Know His thoughts and His heart as our relationship with Him deepens. He wants to reveal His secrets to us, and He wants us to know what things He has freely given to us. He is a good Daddy and He wants us to experience the reality of His goodness and kindness, and how much He wants to lavish on us His incredibly unfathomable incomprehensible wonderful love!
“Thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit Who lives in us so that we can know Your thoughts, Your heart and Your voice. You gave Him to us to guide us with Your wisdom, to reveal Your secrets to us, and to transform us. Reveal to us the treasures hidden in Your Word. Open our eyes to the things You have freely given to us; and overwhelm us with Your love that we may have a deep and profound understanding of what it means to have a life in Christ Jesus, to be one with You, that our lives may transform the world around us for Your glory. In Christ Jesus, we pray, amen.”
