His Words Bring Life To You!

Deuteronomy 11:18-20 “So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of Mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that as long as the sky remains above the earth, you and your children may flourish in the land the Lord swore to your fathers to give your ancestors.”

God’s Word is so important to us that when we renew our minds to it, it changes our whole life! It brings prosperity to our body, soul, and finances! The Bible says to commit yourself to it – study it, memorize it and meditate on it (think about it over and over in your mind), talk about it. They aren’t just words to read like a storybook, His words bring life to you!
To tie them on your head is to keep thinking about them. To tie them on your hands is to apply them to your everyday life. To write them on your doorposts is to let it be an influence to every member of your household. His Word is to be passed on from generation to generation; let what you know increase with each generation so that your lives can be a reflection of what it means to belong to God’s family: His goodness manifesting in every area of your family’s life!
“Abba, I commit myself to Your Word. Help me, by Your Grace and power at work in me, to have a greater hunger to know You more, to have a deeper revelation of Who You are and who I am in You, and Your love for me. Give me the wisdom when I talk about Your Word to my family that it may be the greatest influence in our lives guiding us in how we live and make decisions that we may flourish in the land of our inheritance. I ask this in Jesus’ Name, amen.”
