1 Corinthians 4:20 “For the kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.”
The Kingdom of God is not just empty words, otherwise what difference is that between what we believe and what the rest of the world believes? The fact that Jesus rose from the dead already was a display of the power available to us! Jesus didn’t just rise from the dead, His Holy Spirit came in Pentecost and caused such a commotion in the city because of the radical change seen among the believers who were in the upper room! Over and over in many portions of the Bible (even in the Old Testament) there are amazing displays of God’s power manifested. When John the Baptist was in jail and he sent a question to Jesus “Are you the Messiah we’ve been waiting for?”Jesus answered, “tell him the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the dead are raised to life.” (Matthew 11) He answered that way because all these acts give testimony to Who Jesus is, He is the Messiah! And to this day, God wants to display His power through His sons and daughters to show the rest of the world that there are many benefits when you belong to Him! God takes care of His own and He empowers us to live lives that give testimony to the wonderful, amazing God we have!
“Abba, I surrender my life to You. In all the areas that still have to be changed, transform me by the resurrection power. Let Your love be seen in my ways, in my words, in the way I look at and treat others. Let there be a difference seen in me so that Jesus my be glorified even if I don’t “preach” Your Word. Let my lifestyle be a reflection of Your kingdom I am a citizen of – Your love, Your glory. You are not just my King, You are my Abba. I am Your child. I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, my Savior and Lord, amen.”
