Colossians 1:15 “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation.”
When people hear “Father God” or “Abba God”, many can’t imagine what He is like, or they have this image of Someone Who is angry and is looking to punish man. But the Bible says, Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. What did Jesus look like? He was a man of compassion. He touched the lepers and healed them. He could’ve just said “be healed” but He reached out to touch them. He extended forgiveness instead of condemnation to the woman caught in adultery. He gave importance to the outcast, when he called the tax collector by name and said “I will eat at your house” when others thought it was beneath them to associate with such a man. He showed a heart of generosity when He fed the multitude till they were full and still had baskets of leftovers. Whatever goodness you can imagine of God, that’s what He displayed. That’s the kind of amazing and loving Daddy-God we have! Because HE IS GOOD!!! He wants you to know it! He wants you to assured of it! He wants you to think about it and talk about it – YOUR ABBA IS GOOD!!!
“Abba, thank You for sending Jesus so I can see the kind of God You are: kind, merciful, loving and good! Thank You for loving me and choosing me to be a part of Your family, to be Your child. Let Your goodness and love fill me to overflowing so that others can experience Your goodness through me, in Jesus’ Name, amen.”
