Matthew 6:10 “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
A kingdom is where a king has dominion; it is the place where a king’s will is enforced. When we pray “Your kingdom come” that is what we are declaring: let Your will be done in my life like it is being done in heaven. Since God’s kingdom is spiritual, it is in me, and wherever I am, it is God’s will that I become the expression of heaven on earth. How does He do that? Through His Holy Spirit in us, empowering us to manifest the kingdom life. Empowerment is the way you bring the kingdom here. He wants to develop you as an individual, not as a clone of another; to show the world who you really are, who He created you to be, authentically, allow vulnerability, and not just be a fragment of yourself, not just a servant, but a son. That’s what attracts people to the kingdom – the uniqueness of each person manifesting God’s will on earth, displaying the strength of God to overcome challenges, and the love of the Father to everyone.
This is why we are still alive on earth: extend His dominion from heaven to earth, enforce His will like it is being done in heaven, live out His purpose and assignment.
“Abba, let Your will be done on earth as it is being done in heaven. Use my life, use my thoughts, use my voice, use my hands for Your will, for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
