Every Perfect Gift Is From Above

James 1:17 “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”

We shouldn’t get confused with the source of things that happen to us. The Bible says, every good and perfect gift is from God, the Father of lights: the One Who created the sun, moon and stars. While the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy (Jn10:10). If something got stolen from you, someone got sick or in an accident and died, or destruction came, don’t blame it on God. He didn’t send it to you. It was from the enemy in his attempt to get you angry or depressed or frustrated. To a Christian, although bad things may happen, God can still turn it around and make it work for your good. When a painful challenge is faced, He will still show you His goodness, He will comfort you, encourage you, use it to develop character in you, show you how real He can be, show you the way out. So what was meant to take you away from God or to destroy you, God will use to bring out who you really are: a child of the Most High God! He placed destiny, and victory, and faith in you! Let your attitude be: this isn’t a setback, it’s a set up for something good! Life doesn’t happen TO you, it happens FOR you!

“Thank You Abba, for turning the situations around for my good, because You are good! Only good things come from You, so when I keep my focus on You, only good is what will come forth from my life! I am Your child. You are molding me into the image of Jesus. Your Holy Spirit is continually at work in me showing me Whose I am. No matter what I face, I am victorious through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, amen!”
