Romans 8:19 “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”
Since man fell from his place of glory in the Garden, all creation has been subjected to the curse of thorns and thistles, of storms and hurricanes, of sickness and plagues. But when Jesus came and shed His blood and rose from the dead, He was considered the first-born from the dead. He became the first of the new creation. And for all who believed in Him, we were born into God’s kingdom, into God’s family and we also became a new creation in Christ. But this new man hasn’t risen into his fullness yet and taken his place as a son of God, taking dominion in this world with the revelation of what it really means to be a son of God. And so, creation groans while waiting for the sons to be revealed. Sonship isn’t referring to the male specie, but to rising into maturity, displaying God’s character and speaking God’s mind, not intimidated by circumstances and challenges, having revelation of his place in God’s kingdom, secure in His love, confident of being the righteousness of God, manifesting God’s glory to the world around him, expanding His kingdom, living towards the fulfillment of his assignment on earth. That is what the earth waits for. That is what the Holy Spirit is praying for and is working in us to perform. That is what we are growing up towards.
“I keep my eyes toward You, Abba, as You are working in me to manifest Your life in me so that all the world will see Your reflection when they look at me. I surrender my life to Your will again today. Let Your will be done through me, in the assignment You have called me to fulfill. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
