Exodus 33:16 “How will anyone know that You look favorably on me – on me and on Your people – if You don’t go with us? For Your Presence among us sets Your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”
Anyone can claim to belong to God, but what will prove that you really do if not for His Presence that you carry with you? It’s God’s Presence on you that sets you apart from everyone else! The more intimate your relationship with Him is, the more obvious He becomes to others through your life. That doesn’t mean becoming religious and judgmental and feeling holier-than-thou, that drives people away and make them want to have nothing to do with you or the God you claim to serve. God wants you to draw others closer to Him by displaying His love, showing His goodness, manifesting His power. When Jesus was on earth 2000 years ago, He was constantly thronged by people drawn by the compassion and power that He displayed. He spoke and lived differently from the religious of His day, and it caused people to want to know the God He called “Abba” so affectionately. What He had was a passion for Abba, which translated to a passion for people. Let His Presence fill you. Let His love consume you.
“Abba, fill me with Who You are that my life may be a testimony of Whose I am, in Jesus’ Name, amen.”
