Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says the Lord thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope.”
The Bible says these are the thoughts God thinks when He thinks of you: thoughts of peace – your soundness, tranquility, completeness. He isn’t thinking evil thoughts – miserable, hurtful, distressful, giving pain. He even says why: He wants you to be hopeful about your future! This is not just anyone speaking, He is Jehovah, the Covenant-keeping God! When He gives you a promise, HE will be the One to work in your life to bring them to pass! So when He gives you instructions, believe and obey. He knows what needs to change. He knows things you may not even be aware of. And if people say words that may discourage you, or paint you a picture of your future that is hopeless or hurtful, you don’t have to believe them. What counts is what God says and what you believe!
“Thank You Abba, that I have a future I can look forward to! I believe You because of what Jesus accomplished for me on the Cross. I stand in faith, by the grace at work in my life. In Jesus’ Name, amen!”
