Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Faith is of the heart, not of the mind. To be in faith is to be convinced of the truth of what God has said regardless of what your senses may be telling you. The good news is that our faith begins and ends with Jesus. When you are struggling to believe what God’s will is, let’s say healing, if you’re sick, or financial provision or wisdom when you don’t know what to do, you can ask Jesus to help in that struggle.
He doesn’t want you to face that struggle alone, not does He expect you to. He endured the torture of the Cross, He suffered the shame of being wrongfully accused, died like a criminal, because He knew that He was suffering for you so you don’t have to live a life relying on your self to try to make things work. You have a God Who is mighty and all-knowing to help you in your weaknesses and failures. He knows what it’s like to suffer and He says, “hey, I already made a way for you. Trust Me.”
“Abba, it’s not always easy to believe You, so I ask You for the faith to get me through the challenges I face. I can face life knowing that You are with me, working in me. I am not perfect but You love me anyway; and because You love me, You will not give up on me, because of Jesus, my Lord and Savior, amen!”
