The Lamp Of The Lord

Proverbs 20:27 “The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one’s inmost being.”

When a person’s spirit has been developed – through prayer, through meditating on God’s Word, through practicing obedience and submission to His Holy Spirit – that human spirit becomes strong and acts as a light that God shines on his soul so that things that have to be worked on – wrong attitudes, motivations, perspectives, reasonings, that are not in alignment with His mind and Word – can be changed.

They all are laid bare before Him, even issues you may not be aware of yet. He reveals them to you because He wants your life to be full and complete; because He doesn’t want your life to be destroyed by the cracks that can become the cause of your life getting destroyed. He wants to deal with issues while they are small and can be dealt with in private. That’s why it’s important to have a strong spirit.

“Help me Abba, give me a greater hunger for Your Word and Your Presence so that I can be more sensitive to You, and all the leadings and dealings You are doing in my life. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.”
